Our project for Withers has been highly commended at this year’s The Lawyer Awards in the category of Business Services Team of the Year.
KKS was appointed to lead the firm into the successful adoption of activity-based working; create a high-performance workplace to attract, engage and retain the best talent, one where staff and visitors feel welcome; and to promote the firm’s brand, culture, and values. Withers’ business services team played a huge role in the move to 20 Old Bailey.
On giving the commendation, The Lawyer Awards said:
Withers’ recent London office move highlighted the benefits of technology-driven, open plan agile working. This trail-blazing project had input from all of the firm’s business services teams. Indeed, the project was an object lesson in the power of communications, with Withers using a wide variety of methods to keep its staff up to date.
The project team created a rolling exhibition in the staff restaurant to showcase improvements, ran several tours of the new space as it evolved, issued a regular newsletter to provide updates, housed all content on the intranet and recorded short videos on the progress of the building work.
Indeed, this theme of enhanced communications is indicative of the overall project’s wider success. Withers has already won a major mandate as a result of the increased visibility and closer proximity of fee-earners and business services staff.
