What made you want to work in architecture?

Kishan: Originally I chose it because it’s a very creative profession. As time progressed, I was fascinated by how buildings could affect the way we live, our behaviour and our moods and liked that through the profession we can influence people and society for the better.

Jaya: Honestly my love for design came from TV shows! I would endlessly watch DIY shows, Grand Designs, DIY SOS etc loved the emotion users felt once the space was completed… after researching interior architecture I fell in love with function and structures. Antoni Gaudi was the first architect I researched early on in my education.

Which would you rather: tea or coffee?

Kishan: Masala Tea

Jaya: Milky masala tea any day!

What was your first ever job?

Kishan: Labourer on a building site in Brixton.

Jaya: Luxury residential was the first sector I worked in.

What has been your favourite project to ever work on?

Kishan: Sowwah Square, Abu Dhabi

Jaya: A project on Baker Street where my strategic passion came to the forefront and led me to join KSS Savills as a workplace strategist.

If you could have unlimited supply to anything, what would it be?

Kishan: Air Miles! / MUJI Erasable Pens

Jaya: Stationery!

What is your heaven and hell food?

Kishan: Heaven – Fried Chicken and Full Fat Coca Cola & Hell Roast Dinner Λ

Jaya: Heaven – Peanut butter & Hell – This is a difficult one as I am a huge foodie, but if I have to choose one it’s ivy gourd.

If you could meet any architect or designer (dead or alive), who would it be?

Kishan: Sir Norman Foster

Jaya: Frank Gehry.
