Londoners have always loved the Gherkin, but potential occupiers of 30 St Mary Axe believed its circular and varied floorplate implied an inefficient workspace. With extensive experience in legal design and development, KKS were able to demonstrate to Hunton & Williams that the Gherkin could provide an effective work place to equal the landmark silhouette.
The KKS process began with research into the practice’s business strategy and existing space to create a strategic brief. The new office would support recruitment, provide better communication, and allow for expansion. An appointment for full interior architectural services followed, with a general design theme that communicated a law firm on the rise.
The reception area and associated meeting rooms give a sense of stability, accented with design flair, creating a stimulating, professional environment for clients, testament to impact of an integrated strategy and design approach.
