KKS Savills worked in partnership with Kingsley Napley to challenge legal workplace traditions, designing an open plan, fully flexible and agile work environment over 6 floors at their new location on Bonhill Street. Integration as a build-to-suit office building has resulted in a landlord tenant partnership from Shell & Core.
The design offers 21 different workplace settings, giving employees a huge choice of where and how to work, from traditional desks to various sized pods, team collaboration areas, video conference enabled quiet rooms and a fully equipped staff dining and coffee bar.
Physical and mental health are supported not just in the workspace, but with a treatment room, fitness studio and meditation space, furnished with soft, comfortable materials to encourage mental respite from the busy working day. Specific attention has been given to the fully accessible cycling, shower and changing facilities, promoting exercise by providing a bright, colourful space that is also resilient and functional.
Diversity, inclusion and accessibility were key aspects of the design.
Biophilia is a key sustainability component, along with natural materials and a soft colour palette, creating an understated and calm interior.
