Savills Investment Management (SIM) had outgrown their current space having recently acquired two subsidiary businesses. The brief for the project was to bring together two businesses, located across two different locations, into one collaborative working environment.
As a business, SIM support developers and investors in achieving ‘green’ and ‘sustainable’ developments. With this in mind their message was clear, to deliver ‘a joyful, flexible environment where we would be proud to bring our clients, deliver ESG, and give staff a wonderful environment to work in”. It was imperative that SIMs new workplace responded strongly to their ESG targets, with a design that targets WELL Gold accreditation to respond to their sustainability goals.
The completed project features a bespoke farm wall, incorporating 34 growing towers and a total of 306 plants, responding to the sustainability agenda and offering staff the opportunity to harvest it for their lunch! The central collaboration area serves staff and clients alike, with a flexible layout that can respond seamlessly to the needs of the business.
KKS Savills shifted our working environment from a desk heavy, monochrome, functional space to a vibrant, modern, multi-faceted space, creating an uplifting environment for everyone to share and enjoy. That Human aspect to our space was an important theme that ran throughout the design process.
