Värde Partners is a global alternative investment adviser focused on investing capital and resources across multiple segments and markets. With 14 offices around the globe, London serves as the regional European HQ. Headcount in London has recently grown 20-30% per annum, which resulted in the business reaching capacity in their New Bond Street office. Värde appointed KKS to explore their workplace requirements and enable the creation of an environment to support their future business strategies.
The new workplace delivers flexibility and agility to adapt to changes in the global and European markets, whilst providing a sustainable facility to foster employee productivity and wellbeing. To support employee welfare, personal lockers and shower facilities have been increased to encourage cycling or going to the gym before to work. The greater headcount has led to more social/breakout areas as well as an additional new boardroom for 22 people.
The new space was required to showcase Värde’s brand personality of value, excellence, and innovation. The modern Scandinavian-inspired design is an intrinsic part of reflecting these brand values, whilst the art deco twist echoes the building’s exterior curves and introduces a variation to the elegant, clean lines.
The reception was enhanced with beautiful bespoke marble, to create a first impression of excellence and to recognise the market position of Värde. The space has a relaxing palette of texture and cool colours, enhanced with elegant concealed lighting, and punched with a vibrant blue connecting stair. To enhance the impact of the stairs, the framework is picked out by ceiling-recessed downlights and floor-recessed uplights. This striking metal staircase is a central visual feature connecting the two floors and increasing the opportunities for spontaneous collaboration. The final workplace creates an environment which embraces Varde’s culture and delivers a new experience for employees and clients.
